Leaps forward!

So as seen in the earlier post this morning, the breathing tube came out. They said if they didn't take it out, he would, so out it came. He's not awake yet and they still consider him in a coma at this time, but he's mumbling words, some things make sense, others do not. He's asked for a Pepsi and asked where he was. He got a kiss on the cheek from a friend and when she pulled away, he said "come here." Up to his old tricks already! He looks good today and is making progress. Pray for him to wake up, but only when his brain is good and ready! He's such a fighter and it's amazing to see what all your prayers have done! God is good! So wonderful to hear his voice! After all those years of him beating me up, I can honestly tell you, I've never been so glad to hear his voice!!!

  6. Don't know your family, but my cousin is a friend or co-worker and was asking for prayers..lots of prayers coming from Ohio, and will continue to read your blog to see every inch of progress, and will keep your family & Adam in thoughts and prayers. Hope you find lots of strength in your family, friends & faith, in the trying and long days at the hospital and during the recovery...

We went through this same thing a little over a year ago with Adam Rumsyre injured in the 4-wheeler accident. The power of prayer is amazing in the recovery. Hopefully, everything will turn out well for him also. Everyone at the hospital is amazing also. Don't rush him opening his eyes and talking to you, it's worth the wait as long as it takes. The brain has it's own way of healing. Those first words and his eyes open are very exciting, and everyone will cheer when that time comes. The simple things they can do unless people are actually there don't have a clue about how excited you will get when they can accomplish that again for the first time. We will keep praying for your family.

  10. I have lived next to adam for the last 2 years, havent really gotten to know him, but when i read the story in the paper, i had to make sure he was ok, We are hoping the best for him and your family, as far as the neighbors go, we need him here, he actually takes pride in his place unlike some others. Our prayers will continue daily.
